Every episode brings in a new elements from fairytales and Disney films, including Brave, Frozen, The Little Mermaid, Snow White and more. It combines and changes the stories of these characters that make them more interesting.
She Says: The storyline kept me entertained and intrigued as we learned more about how the fairy-tale villagers came to be trapped in the modern world, and each season continues to grow the characters.
He Says: It seems like it stole a page from Into the Woods on taking a somewhat postmodern take on the fairy tale genre. While I’d never call it a favorite show or a “can’t miss,” it was perfectly serviceable as something to watch in the summer. It reminds me that, like her stint on How I Met Your Mother, Jennifer Morrison is great when she is allowed to do more than serve as Hugh Laurie’s sidekick on House.
