Life Changing Logitech Remote
|As our entertainment options continued to grow we had created a big problem. If I wanted to use Apple TV I needed to have at least three remotes to turn on the tv, Apple TV and the audio. If He was previously playing the Xbox then the input was set incorrectly and my setup got even harder. After a few minor arguments He finally found a solution; the Logitech Harmony 650.
Finally one remote that could do everything!
I’m not sure how he set it up, (He says – no kidding – she won’t be bothered with it) but I click one button based on what I want to watch and it activates everything. If it ever gets out of sync, I just hit the help button and the remote asks me a few questions and based on my responses it fixes the problem.
Life is good and I no longer feel helpless when I’m home alone trying to watch tv. Our arguments have ended over how to use the television, but fear not we still find other things to fight about!
Update 4/12/16
We loved this remote so much, we bought a second this week for the master bedroom to control the TV, Cable Box, and Apple TV.
He said: The 650 isn’t perfect, and I’d love to get my hands on one of the more expensive models, but this works for our modest home entertainment tasks. That being said, She could stand to be a little more diligent in holding it in view of the equipment (especially when turning stuff off – I hate waking up to a receiver that was wasting power all night). I do wish it could control the FireTV stick, but beggars can’t be choosers. For the price, it’s a great universal option, and a helluva lot better than any other so-called “universal” remote you’ll find in the average retail shop.
